We started Prelist to provide homeowners and real estate agents the opportunity to gain exposure to the private real estate market prior to listing with MLS®.

Meet the team

Mark Planeta

Mark Planeta founded Prelist in 2014. He has a life-long interest in the real estate market, and is driven to help fill gaps that exist in the industry. His career path initially led him to the field of Exploration Geology after graduating with an Honours degree from Lakehead University. He also has a degree in Geography as well as a Bachelor of Education. Today, Mark enjoys working as a part-time teacher and operates several other web-based businesses on the side. Mark lives in Kingston, Ontario with his wife and son. He is an avid outdoorsman and world traveller, and has travelled to over 70 countries. Mark believes that Prelist can change the real estate market by being the first pre-market listing site in Canada.

Andrew Bootsma

Andrew Bootsma joined the Prelist team in 2017 while he was a Computer Science student at Queen's University. He was drawn to Prelist because of his passion for using web technology to do things that no one has thought of before. He loves the idea of disrupting a market, and is excited to see how Prelist can redefine real estate. When he is not working on Prelist he runs webprodigi.com, his own web development company. He loves working with his clients to reinvent their online brand.

Joseph Barnhartd

Joseph Barnhartd is an enthusiastic member of the Prelist team. From the Ottawa region, Joseph started his career in commercial and residential construction in 2001 and continues to keep his finger on the pulse of construction and site management to this date. Since then, he has enjoyed flipping houses and acquiring rental properties. These experiences have given Joseph an extensive knowledge of the real estate market in Eastern Ontario. Through Prelist Joseph is excited to be instrumental in changing the real estate game, giving the power and know-how to homeowners to list and sell property in a new and exciting way.

Matthew Loutfi

Matthew Loutfi joined the Prelist team in 2014. He has a civil engineering diploma from Mohawk college and has been in the building industry for more than a decade which allowed him to gain extensive knowledge about the real estate market. The building / real estate industry has become Matthew's passion. He lives in Hamilton, Ontario. He enjoys outdoor climbing and going for long hikes. Matthew has always believed in the idea of pre-listing a property so to be a part of the first pre-listing site ever, makes him excited to grow with the company.

Janice Gregg

Janice Gregg brings a creative edge to the Prelist team. She specializes in commercial and residential design and brings forth extensive experience dealing with contractors and engineers to masterfully enhance every project that comes her way. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to do the same working as part of Prelist.

Peter Brejnik

Peter Brejnik has been in the housing industry for almost 30 years. Coming from humble experiences as a cleaner and right hand man for his father on job sites, to now being president of Brejnik Fine Homes, a design build firm that specializes in turn key design/build of custom luxury homes. He has always had a love for the real estate market and is excited to be a part of the Prelist team.
